Petanque is a simple, popular bowls game derived from the Provençal tradition.

Gender-neutral team competitions. Teams can be either mixed, female or male.

Games are played in doublettes (a team consists of 2 players, each player throws 3 boules) or triplettes (a team consists of 3 players, each player throws 2 boules) on 3x12m pitches laid out in accordance with the rules of the FFPJP (La Fédération Française de Pétanque et Jeu Provençal).

Games are played to 13 points within a limited time frame of 45 minutes (plus an extra jack).

PREVISIONAL SCHEDULE

Day 1: Doubles qualification

Day 2: triples qualification

Day 3: Semi-final and final for doubles, then semi-final and final for triples.

RULES

The number of participants is limited to 120. Registrants undertake to take part in the doubles and triples tournaments, and to play all the qualifying games (with the possibility of being in reserve to complete the teams).

Given the number of people who have pre-registered, it is important to note that the number of teams per delegation will be limited (1 team = 6 people minimum and maximum).

The name of the team must be given when registering.
